Up goes the fare

After Albany stalled, the MTA board yesterday voted to hike the fares dramatically. Nobody is happy, nor should they be.

Working in the industry, I’m always truly amazed at the things people claim as fact about the MTA. My personal opinions about MTA management aside, there are a lot of things that are commonly believed by the MTA but are simply not true. East Village Idiots has a great list. Still, I doubt the MTA will win the PR war anytime soon.
